Esther Haase, is a photographer who started out as a classical dancer at the acclaimed Staatliche Akademie Köln. From there she went onto dance professionally, and it was through this that she found her true love: photography.
Whilst dancing, Esther captured dancers with real intention, creating a story giving life to her signature style : playful, provocative, and sexy, using movement rather than static poses to capture moments. The result : powerful and strong images that never fail to tell a story.
Esther then went onto win many awards, which lead to her decision to explore this path further, going back to study Graphic Design with the focus on photography at the Hochschule für Künste. After completing her degree 1993 this young photographer was very soon to find herself being booked by global fashion houses, and advertising agencies.
Today her client list spans the worlds leading brands, cutting edge publications such as Vogue, Madame, Grazia Italy, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair and celebrities; Vivienne Westwood, Dita von Teese, Dolce and Gabbana, Rita Ora, Jessica Alba, Diane Kruger, Anna Netrebko, David Gandy, Karl Lagerfeld and Angela Merkel to name but a few…
Not content with stopping there, Esther has also captured the eye of many respected critics through her published books and exhibitions at galleries like Fotografiska Museet Stockholm, Benrubi Gallery New York and Camera Work in Berlin. Plus shooting moving image for many of her high profile clients.
Esther is a woman of tireless energy, a love of the aesthetic, and a great sense of fun, and adventure.
